This is one of the only GD tapes I owned in college and when it got eaten by the machine and broke I painstakingly taped it back together with scotch tape . . . and it worked!!

Hi jg, I listened to this earlier. It jumps staight into 'Dancin' and it's a great toe-tapper of a version. Very nice Morning Dew, and a fine St Stephen>NFA ending. In view of the closing comments perhaps they should have come back on for a rousing 'Cold, rain & snow'.

Cold Rain & Snow would have certainly been appropriate

Happy Birthday JG! (noticed I stuck with the old/new "jg" in spite of everyone [!!!] making me feel like I should say 'Jim').

It seems like only yesterday that YOU, elb and I became "friends" while sloshing around in the sewers while the Big Board was down...me with my tie around my head, and you with...with...was that a harpoon or some ship's rigging I recall? Perhaps it was four kids chasing you with a baseball bat for some play time themselves...

Anyhow, still always think of those days whenever you, elb and I are around here...

Have a good one.

One of my favorite GD recordings of all time!

Though this Dancin' doesn't make most people's lits I still find it to be one of the most soul-quenching renditions ever. Listening to this one now with the historical context that we went over yesterday gives even greater impact to this lead off jam. This music oozes compassion and gently urges the crowd to bliss as the musicians empathize with the largely confused student body (I'm only guessing here... of course).
